We'll get you fit!

personal trainingGoing from couch potato to fit is a terrific achievement, but sadly it is NOT just a gentle stroll in the park (literally!) for any of us. It takes a lot of work, commitment and focus. In the early stages of making the changes you may find you need a lot of support and personal training can be a big help.

Having trouble keeping the momentum going?

If you feel you need the extra encouragement and motivation of a trainer to get the most out of your fitness sessions, whether occasionally or on a regular basis, PT is the answer. We don’t shout though (unless you particularly want us to). There are better ways of getting the best out of you.

Have a specific goal?

If you are training for competition, or to achieve a very specific goal, whether to pass a police fitness test, make the team, get back on a horse again, or drop your body fat to six-pack level, you will also find a few PT sessions invaluable.

If you have some special physical issues to deal with, and you feel anxious whether you will be able to perform exercises correctly, having a PT watch and adjust the exercises where necessary for a few sessions will help to build your confidence. Be aware, however, that there are no guarantees against any injury – it does sometimes happen, just as it does in life generally.

situpsBodyMission Personal Training provides fitness training by staff qualified to Level 3 on the Register of Exercise Professionals. They will also be qualified in GP referral, if appropriate for your needs. Sessions are, of course, individually tailored, and normally emphasize strength and functional training, stability and flexibility.

Everyone needs to do plenty of aerobic work (walking, rowing, cycling, running) and you will be encouraged to add this to your other training, inside or outside the gym.

You do not need to be a member of the gym to do PT(although gym members do receive a discount on their sessions). If you are not a member you are entitled to use the main gym in addition to your personal training on the day of your session, free of charge.
